At the Exit In in Nashville, TN, We The Kings kicked off their self titled album 10th anniversary tour with Cute Is What We Aim For, Astro Lasso, and Plaid Brixx. The bands played to a sold out room at the downtown Nashville venue.
One of the standout moments of the evening was lead singer, Shaant Hacikyan, announced they will be recording new music immediately after the tour they are currently on. Hacikyan shared, "The dates are set, the deposit is down, and we will be recording new music as soon as we get home"
This comes as a relief to all fans of the band after they decided to put recording on hiatus. The singer also addressed this and his mental health stating he "fell into a depression and didn't want to do anything at the time", he goes on to say, "A couple weeks ago when [We The Kings] came to us with the offer to go on this tour I saw the clouds part and the sun was shining down on me."
Cute Is What We Aim For played a half hour set with energy and antics that showed they were ready and excited to start this tour. The crowd was more than responsive, singing every song back to them and giving them all they had. The crowd was full of early and mid 20 year olds, living out their highschool dreams. They uploaded a short video from the show to their Facebook showing just how packed and energetic the show was!
We The Kings' 10 Year tour will continue on until April 2nd, 2017 and then continuing in the U.K. in May! You can find tickets HERE.
